The uprising in Tunisia and Egypt.

History is unfolding right before our eyes.

The Tunisian revolution that ensued the departure of dictator Ben Ali has sent a wavering frenzy across the Arab world resulting into the unfinished uprising in Egypt. The valour being displayed by Tunisians and Egyptians is something everyone should be proud of, regardless.

The soaring food prices, fuel, terrible living conditions, etc undoubtedly lead to the uprising. Corruption is endemic in Egypt. The ordinary Egyptian live under $2 per day. This is terrible, giving the amount of aid Egypt receives from America annually. Egypt receives the second largest US foreign aid to the tune close to $2bn in economic and military aid annually. This aid is given to Egypt on condition it will continue to offer Israel unconditional support and protect US interests in the region. Majority of this aid is squandered by the Mubarak family and regime.

Egypt is virtually a police state. Freedom of speech is curtailed day in and out. No one dare questions the government. Doing so would land you in jail, coupled with torture. The rich keep getting richer and the poor keeps getting poorer. The richer are those closer to the government. The vast living conditions differences between the rich and poor definitely lead the Egyptians to mirror the Tunisian uprising.

The West is not fully in support of the crave for democracy and better living conditions by the majority of Egyptians out of the fear the Muslim Brotherhood might use the chance to clamber up unto the governance of Egypt. But there's no evidence to this. This, I insist is fear of the unknown. No one knows what the outcome of this uprising would be, in the case Mubaraks government fall. This uprising was not instigated or dominated by any sole faction. This is a complete social unrest as a result of 3 decade suppression rule of Hosni Mubarak and his regime. The West is afraid Egypt might follow the footmark of the Iranian revolution which overthrew the Shah in1979 which has lead to the current impasse between Iran and the rest of the world. These are entirely different generations and different conditions. A wikileak document released by the Telegraph of UK today reveals the US actually supports and instigated the ongoing protests.
Click here to read the entire cable.

The second reason why the West is not in support of the ongoing protests is due to the safety of Israel. This is bullocks. Why should a democratic Egypt be a threat to the state of Israel? Why should over 80 million Egyptians be subjected to severe poverty and suppression at the expense of the safety of 6 million Israelis? Anyone who think along these lines should have their moral compass critically examined. Are the 6 million Israelis better than 80 million Egyptians? These are moral questions that remains unanswered by the West. What matters most here is the living conditions of Egyptians. They took to the street to oust the tyranny because they couldn't take the hardship anymore. What's West problem with that? You should think the citizenry of Egypt will be commended for these acts of bravery by West. of course not. You can try as much as you can to try to meddle the Muslim Brotherhood into this but it still remains irrelevant. Everyone knows the Muslim brotherhood only recently joined the protest. They were initially against it since it wasn't initiated by them. This is a protest by all factions of the Egyptian society. I was moved to see Christians guide over their muslim brothers whiles they pray during the protests yesterday.

I encourage Egyptians to oust the dictatorship and install any government with popular support (if the majority want Muslim brotherhood, so be it). Don’t let Americans, Europeans or Israelis determine your future. It’s your destiny not anybody’s.

And once more, don't be pleased by the resignation of Mubaraks cabinet and the introduction of the new Prime Minister and Vice President. If you back off at this moment, your effort will be in vain and all your brothers and sister who got killed by the security forces would continue to turn in their graves in shame. Continue to ride through the alley to freedom. Libertas nam to omnis Egyptians!!!

The 2010 Legatum Prosperity Index.

The 2010 Legatum Prosperity Index impart a panoramic view, free glance and ultimately reaffirms the African continent as the poorest and underdeveloped region of the world. It's sad to see African countries thriving far bellow the belts. The criteria used in the rankings are straightforwardly true and just.

Globally, Ghana appeared 90th out of 110 countries. Ahead of countries such as Iran and Pakistan. Regionally, Ghana appeared on the 4th slot, Botswana on top of the list, South Africa 2nd and Namibia 4th. You must see the smug look on my face to see Ghana praised enthusiastically for it superior democracy comparing to the poor standard which sweeps across Africa.

Nigeria appeared 106th out of 110 countries. Not surprising. This's a country gifted with natural resources yet saddled by instability, coupled with endemic corruption. Corruption pervade every system in Nigeria. Nigeria could do better if it ruling elites were gifted with any superior sense of rationality.

It's time Nigeria is coerced to follow the footmark of Sudan for it own national success. The South must break away from the indolent and religiously dominated North. The over 150m population is too hefty a load to be commanded by the Federal Government alone. The sweeping instability across Nigeria is imposing an untold hardship and inconvenience on the entire region. The peskily predominantly Muslim North won't allow the South to rest, so what do you do? Break them right away. The South can become Paris of Africa if the oil wealth is concentrated on the exclusive development of the region. If no steps are taking to sedate the falling standard of Nigeria, the country may plunge into ruin and maybe finally declared a failed state (already part of 60 unofficially most failed countries in the world). I need not say more.

My take on Organized religion.

A little time on my hand, I want to rant, a bit.

Some people maybe grossly shocked to hear me say this, but that is because they are incapable of thinking for themselves.

Organized religion has no rational basis. It is said that, religion is for the weak minded who are afraid of what would happen to them in the afterlife should they not obey what they are told. It provides convenient ways for people to live with their ignorance. It makes your mindset incredibly dysfunctional which overwhelms your mind with a burly load of false beliefs. Clarity remains forever elusive. I will cite Stephen Weinberg words to support my rants. "Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion."

These immutable words by Stephen Weinberg recapitulate the crux of this piece.

I am tired of the gullibility of the majority of human population. Organized religion doesn't prop any intelligence in it votaries. It trumpet and thrive on the primordial notion that, you don't have to foster your own thoughts, and that, the application of logic is not necessary in this mathematical and quantum world. It expand on the basis that, all there is to this world are fairy tales and believing in the unverified and illogic. It spurns human point of view, nature and science, completely.

Inarguably, baleful and silly system such as organized religion does not provide a reasonable ground for clear thinking.

The primary theme of organized religion is to dissociate good from evil. In distinguishing good from evil, religion has done more to promote evil. It’s a widely established fact that throughout history, religion has been the cause of many crimes committed against humanity. Great examples include:

Priests hiding behind robes to sexually abuse boys.
The inquisition
The crusades
The Jihads
The holocaust
Slavery
Radical islamists
All sort of religious radicalism, et al

Furthermore, there is a directory of dictators who were religious and based their rule on fear and religious persecutions.

Hitler, for instance, was a deeply religious person. There is no doubt the decision to gas 6 million jews was reached based on his religious convictions. Bellow is a quote from Mein Kampt to solidify this point.

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." - Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)

Organized religion also remains a tool for dividing people. It proliferates on the calculations that, If you are not one of us, then you are one of “them” which makes you an infidel and a legitimate target for discrimination, terrorism, etc.

To date, I have not meddled God into my rant have I. You know why? Because so hard as organized religion try to link it atrocities to God, any such link is terribly lacking. I can perfectly argue that, the concept of a “higher power” can be entirely detached from that of organized religion. Organized religion, doubtlessly is a man-made institution entirely run by mortal men. There’s no evidence whatsoever that, God, if he/she/it exist, inspired divinely the creation of sects and groups to mutilate, murder, persecute, etc others based on what they choose to believe. It doesn’t make many sense to suggest God, if he/she/it exist support all the atrocities committed by organized religion against humanity. The concept of “higher power” is merely being used by men hiding behind religion to manipulate your fears for their own advantage which includes:

Enrich themselves.
The desire for power and control.
To make their adherents tractable and stupid.
To brainwash their followers and continue to extort their hard earned money.

I don’t believe God support these ecclesiastical crimes does he. But...does God speaks in clear terms? Absolutely not. So self-proclaimed prophets and men of God are using the inability of God to make global pronouncement in a large and clear speakers to thrust their agendas on the throat of the gullible.

The concept of a “higher power” can be entirely branched off from that of organized religion, as obviously there are no common grounds to link them. To those who believe in God, communicate with your God or Gods directly instead of using third-party intermediaries. You can babble directly to your God and at the same time reject organized religion entirely.

Bombing North Korea, Iran and other terrror supporter states panacea to all human ills?

Waking up from the most horrific nightmare (I blew up the brain of a man with 55 caliber sniper for standing in my way), I turned to my itunes, as usual to preview the latest Rock and Alternative releases, I accidentally dragged the news tab on my Firefox unto the screen which lead me unto the telegraph UK home page. Quickly, my attention was drawn to the new exclusive footage inside of North Korea acquired secretly. Horrendous, horror, the mindless communist thugs, Kim and his party has taken hostage of their countrymen at a gun point! The people of North Korea are starving, and deprived of any right to freely express themselves. I quickly browsed through other news outlets, and, North Korea, I say is going totally mad! They has placed surface-to-surface missiles on launch pads in the Yellow Sea, only few miles away from the presence of one of the most sophisticated military hardware ever invented; The nuclear-powered USS George Washington. I understand the war games between US and South Korea has just began. Wonderful, I say!

Handy work of the mindless regime of North Korea!

In this escalation, South has demonstrated a sense of maturity by avoiding a full confrontation. North have nothing to loose in a full out war. Seoul would be filled with smokes which will see a world go through a yet another round of unimaginable economic crisis. The mindless thugs of North are likely to target Tokyo at the same time. I can not be deprived of my Samsung products from South Korea, neither my Japanese Sushi preserved meal due to the moronic attitude of the mindless rulers of North Korea!

All of this, yet, once again, lead me into contemplation.

How are the thugs of North going to reach into their hearts to find that glorious inner-peace that will enables this impetuous aggression to wither and die?

The world has gone to sleep on the thuggery of North's mindlessness. It worries me.

They can not be allowed to us their feeble nuclear capabilities as a threat to do as they wish in the region.

The crux of this is the communist regime of China using the North to display their belligerence in the region. This is unacceptable! Why don't they come out of their true colors? We all know the North needed a green light from the world power neighbor to send those artillery into South's territory.

The initial aggressive move was made by the North Koreans when it torpedoed a South Korean corvette, with the loss of over sixty lives. These mindless provocations are to show the world North is a force to reckoned with. What these silly buggers on their tripeshiters don’t seem to realize is that the mentalities of Communists are so crude and stupid, if allowed to get away with acts of violence just to prove that they CAN, they tend to go as far as they can – as history has shown clearly to be the case.

The West needs to show it’s teeth occasionally, as one would to a nutty dog, or whatever. There are many dangers facing the world’s stability, Communism and it’s pinky, more weak-gutted ally, Socialism. Then there are the religious freaks, who are blinded to the realism of life; their avant-garde terrorists would destroy any living human or beast to get their crazy way. The others come down the scale in order of danger, but do wreak havoc and destruction in differing ways – drug cartels, and the money men of societies, the bankers, the speculators, the asset-strippers who destroy potential for good. The mentalities of the simply ugly people of the human race – the burglars. the sadistic, the parasites that only take, the creatures that pick on the weak and vulnerable are simply beyond our abilities to take out permanently. As one goes to prison, another takes it’s place.

But to just leave them alone to fester and eat away at human development like a cancer is a no-no. We cannot ignore, we must react to all threats, whether it’s simply a case of vandalism, mindless violence, or a mentally-unhinged regime which threatens stability and the desire to exist in a peaceful atmosphere of co-operation.

My heart and support, at this time, is with all South Koreans and the orientals.

It is time China advices their little shit proxy to behave well or the international community jointly will go in to destroy it permanently!

Where is Dubya when you need him!

Riz Khan: Multiculturalism in Europe
